Stay in the dammuso “Mare di Nikà”. Composed by two wonderful ancient dammusi, rearranged and restructured in one single property by the owners, who manage and design an architecture studio and a contemporary art gallery in Mantova.

United together by walkways between plants, scents and colors of the Mediterranean nature the two units are built on two different levels, from where it is easy to admire the panorama.

The access is from an ancient dirt road starting from the perimetric street of the island. The road leads to a private parking next to the property. The entrance is a wooden gate, behind which there’s an outdoor area with a pergola made of palm leaves, perfect for relaxing or reading a book. Entering in the first Dammuso, there’s a cozy living room enriched with Hiromi Masuda works of art. Going forward there’s a bedroom with reproductions of Gregory Colbert photographies and a fully equipped kitchen. On the other side of the first Dammuso there’s a second outside are with a palm leaves pergola and a big table, perfect for having unforgettable lunches and dinners with a sea view.
The building is surrounded by terraces and small gardens. There are also a barbecue and an outside shower.
Just few stair steps and it is possible to reach the second Dammuso, with an elegant bedroom and a bathroom, both enriched by Karl Blossfeldt photographies. Outside tow works of: Eduard Habicher (Merano – Italia) and Magdalena Fernandez (Caracas – Venezuela).
The property is surrounded by the Mediterranean flora.

Stay in the “SUITE”, an independent dammuso for two people

LOVE NEST ON THE SEA IN A UNIQUE, ALMOST SURREAL SCENOGRAPHIC CONTEXT

If you are looking for a metaphysical holiday experience this is the place for you! The Dammuso is a small pearl set between the dark rocks of Nikà bay and the Mediterranean scrub, immersed and camouflaged in the uncontaminated nature of the island. Here the relationship with the sea is strong, almost all-encompassing… an experience of great intensity.                                                                                                                  

The interior style is pure and essential, almost “monastic”. The dammuso consists of kitchen, bedroom/living and bathroom.

 The exteriors are divided into several levels: a few steps lead us to the terrace below with its splendid pagoda covered in palm leaves for reading and contemplative relaxation; black stone walkways and stairs are articulated between seductive terraces and helichrysum and rosemary bushes leading us close to the sea.

It is possible to rent Mare di Nikà or the Suite separately and exclusively or rent both together.

WHAT TO DO IN PANTELLERIA:

Places to visit: Nikà hot thermal springs (in the sea), Venere lake, Ghirlanda valley, Monastero valley, Beniculà cave (natural sauna), Balata dei Turchi, Martingana, Arco dell’Elefante, Punta Spadillo (laghetto delle Ondine).

Suggested activities: Boat trips, Diving, Favare stroll, archeological and naturalistic walks (Sesi neolitici, Acropoli, Bizantine graves, ecc.),We also suggest as a tourists guide Peppe D’Aietti (tel. +39 3284165598 www.pantelleriaculturaenatura.it). Wine tasting at Donnafugata’s cellars with visit the pantesco garden of FAI.

IMPORTANT NOTES :

-The property is equipped with: Free Wi-Fi,  air conditioning and heating (only in the two bedrooms), fridge, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, 4 coockers, hairdryer, little stereo. There is no TV.

– To reach our house, which is at the end of a downhill road, with lots of bets, as well as to reach the most beautiful places on the island, it is necessary to rent an off-road vehicle (Suzuki, Daihatsu, Panda 4 × 4, or similar) If you prefer to rent a “city” car, you will have to leave it in the car park before the descent (400 meters), but remember that on returning, the operator who welcomed you  does not have the possibility to carry a luggage transport service. Car rental agencies are located at the airport but you will need to book in advance

-The owners live in Mantova, reason why the welcoming will be managed by a specialized operator on the island. In order to be able to clean the dammusi, reception can only be from 4 pm on the day of arrival, while departure must take place within 10 am.

HOW TO REACH PANTELLERIA :

The island is connected the whole year with Palermo and Trapani by daily flights and Catania, managed by DAT.

During summer, starting from June, Alitalia flies to the island from Milan and Rome with direct flights on Saturdays and Sundays.

Starting from the end of May until the start of October, Volotea flies from Bergamo and Venice (Saturdays and Sundays) and from Turin only in August (Saturdays) and Verona.

For tourists coming from Germany, direct flights to Palermo can be taken from Berlin, Nuremberg, Munich, Frankfurt, Dusseldorf, Memmingen, and Erfurt. To then reach Pantelleria, flights take off from both Palermo and the near Trapani.

Ferries daily connect Trapani to Pantelleria.

In addition, for general consumption and cleaning, €  200 for Mare di Nikà and € 150 for La Goletta.
